Independent Life Skills Center (ILSC) is dedicated to improving life skills and professional development for individuals with disabilities. This two-story facility features family rooms, kitchens, learning pods, multiple classrooms, and a computer lab. Ensign Engineering gladly partnered with this Brigham City institution, eager to continue our work in the education space.
Ensign believed that the masonry structure of the building should stand out as well. This specialized masonry technique combines reinforced hollow clay masonry bricks, reinforced concrete masonry units, steel brace frames, and cold-formed steel to create a unique architectural look. Together, these elements allowed Ensign to create a building that would stand out and a safe space for students to learn.
